Eating meat is violence and exploitation against God’s other
living beings. At this point in History it’s completely unnecessary for our
survival.
This discussion attempts to show that God does not condone us humans harming,
dismembering and eating animal flesh.
The verses mentioned
in this discussion are all displayed at the bottom, for easy reference.
1) There are many passages in the Old Testament against eating meat or harming animals. These are routinely ignored and/or scoffed at (as it’s inconvenient to seriously investigate it?):
Genesis 1:29, Ezekiel 4:9,
Leviticus 7:26-27, Daniel 1: 8-15, Psalms 36:6, Hosea 2:18, quite a few others.
It’s safe to assume these passages would be God’s original wish for our
sustenance, and that animals have a place in Heaven.
It’s strange that Christians will give up things like sex and drugs, which can be super fun and hard to abstain from, and yet still cling to meat, which is just so-so. It’s as if something is “controlling” them to do so.
2) Unlike lions, hawks and alligators, God gave us higher brains and free will: Assumingly so that we may navigate our way to a higher and more pure existence, closest to Him. Humans have the unique ability to DECIDE, as individuals, to harm or not harm. It is our choice and we are not stopped either way. You can go next door right now and beat up and rob an old lady, God won’t stop you. But we are given hints in the bible of what to strive for. We are given the tools to make decisions. They would hopefully be based on love and kindness to all God’s creatures, which is clearly discussed: ( Proverbs 12:10, Genesis 9:16; Matthew 5:7, Psalm 24:1, etc etc)
3) If God ‘really wanted’ us to eat meat, He
could easily have made it a necessity (as He did with lions, hawks, alligators,
etc.). Yet, people all over the planet live long and healthy lives without
meat. And it’s shown in hundreds of studies why and how plant-based eaters live
longer than average populations, and the mechanisms are known and beyond
question. Since it’s merely a matter of
convenience (laziness) and not health or necessity, stubbornly eating meat and
thus harming/bullying animals may be a unique combination of the following
sins: Pride, Gluttony,
Wrath, and Sloth.
4) It would appear that God became disgusted with human’s sins very early on (see #3 above) when and whereby he created the flood to kill off humans and told Noah to “save the animals” but no humans (Genesis 6:19). If animals didn’t matter, why save animals and kill off the humans?
But then after which He just changed his mind (or maybe GAVE UP? Eh?) and said:
“The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth” and “Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you” and “Even though every inclination of the human heart is evil from childhood. Never again will I destroy all living creatures, as I have done”
Thus He allowed Noah and future generations to live. But doesn’t it seem that
He is begrudingly just giving up and accepting we are evil? And stating “The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the
earth”
specifically implies that the source of the evil is that all beasts must fear
humans. God did not state here at this point, that we are evil because we have “lust”,
or that we like to “drink and party”. He is specifically tying our evil nature
to “Everything that moves shall be food for you”.
The more one carefully reads Genesis 8 and 9, it’s
really as if He is saying “Oh, fuck it, you’re basically evil. Go ahead and kill
things and do what you want, I’m not going to interfere anymore”. In other
words, God loves us despite our flaws. But that shouldn’t be construed to mean
“increase the flaws.” Shouldn’t we at least TRY to do better??? And if not, WHY
NOT? He gave us brains to think, and free will to try to do good and avoid
selfish harm. Should we not strive for that? Or does God saying we are ‘evil
from childhood but okay I won’t kill you’, give us permission to go ahead with
evil, full-throttle?
And then, of course, there’s the very scary possibility that this was never
God’s intention at all: And that the passages in the OT are the real original
intention of God and that Him finally acquiescing to carnism is a trick, added
by purveyors of evil centuries later (and thus tricking humans into an ongoing
satanic ritual thereafter). We do not know… we only know that God’s original
intent was a plant-based sustenance for humans and kindness to all breathing animals.
5) Animals go to Heaven. Animals have souls:
The bible is very clear on this.
Revelation 5:13, Isaiah 11:6–9, Ecclesiastes 3:18–21, Revelation 19:11, Psalm
36:6
And God’s covenant is with all of His creation, that they shall all lie down is safety and that every animal on Earth praises the Lord:
Genesis 9:12–17, Psalm 50:10–11, Hosea 2:18, Psalm 150:6, Job 12:7–10, Psalm 69:34
6) Matthew 25:40: “as you
did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me".
Does it apply to sentient animals? Per 5 above yes. And even for one who think not, or that maybe
that it didn’t 2000 years ago. It’s safe to assume that more is expected of us
now. The Universe expands, our souls grow with it. 2000 year ago if your wife
cheated on you it was okay to stone her to death (Deuteronomy 22:22-24, Leviticus
20:10-12). We have grown past these things now. Matthew 25:40, animals are
truly the MOST VULNERABLE in society now. No being is more abused or
disregarded than a pig, chicken or cow. How do we justify this violence against
animals? Might it be the case that “as you do to them, you do to the King?”
7) Daniel 1:12-16
“Please test your servants for ten days:
Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then compare our appearance with that of the
young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with
what you see.” So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.
At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any
of the young men who ate the royal food. So the guard took away their choice
food and the wine they were to drink and gave them vegetables instead.”
8)
Christians believe that Jesus’ death ended the
need for animal sacrifices. All other modern religions have followed suit. This
can be thought of as part of our natural growth as we assume “more is expected
of us” than 2000 years ago. So now, in
modern days, what’s the primary activity of Satanic rituals? …Animal sacrifice.
That alone should make Christians at least a little wary of who/what may be out
there (or inside of them) encouraging carnism, animal sacrifice and torture. Maybe
the World is one big mostly-satanic cult… And just because it would be a very huge
cult, doesn’t mean it can’t be one. We can see this possibility playing out as things
go down the drain and evil seems to be winning on so many fronts.
Take heed. Many believe (and there is a lot of discussion about this) That fear
and suffering is the energy, the fuel, that powers the demonic realm, whereas
love is the fuel for heavenly realm. It is argued that this is why these
so-called “elite” satan followers on Earth continually start wars and create
chaos. If this is true, then animal suffering would be their greatest accomplishment
and primary source of fuel. It may sound conspiratorial, but could it be that
they messed with early writings to trick humans into carnism? Again, if God
WANTED carnism, He COULD have made it necessary for our survival. But He didn’t.
We have to be careful and use the brains and the free will God gave us to make
the right decisions, as there is much deception in this realm. If something is
obviously harmful, causing suffering, causing fear, unnecessary for our
God-created bodies for survival or even basic health: Shouldn’t we take a very
close look at it, in case it is a “trick” or a lie.
Christians say that Jesus surely ate fish and may have eaten lamb at Passover,
and also (yes) ate locusts (although He ate mostly bread and legumes) as these
things were just the available diet of the day. There is no proof that’s true.
There are no passages that outline Jesus’ diet. And even if it is true, It’s possible and easy
to avoid those things like fish and lamb now, whereas it wasn’t so easy 2000
years ago. Surely 200 years ago, otherwise-decent
Christians felt slavery wasn’t a sin. And maybe it was the only way to get by
for many people of that era. But now in 2024, would it not be?

10) Lastly Violence is violence. Suffering is suffering. Animals are the victims of violence and suffering each and every day more than any beings in history of Earth. And this seems to correspond with the detriment of our societies on all levels. Is God now punishing humans for the violence and suffering we inflict on animals when we should know better by now? Let’s think about it:
A. Punishment at the individual level: TMAO, saturated fat, methionine, heme. Causing heart attacks and strokes and colon cancer which are the leading causes of death in humans. Vegans live, on average, 7-15 years longer than meat-eating general populations. Is this a coincidence?
B. Punishment at the societal level: High levels of animal protein, and in particular excess “branch chain amino acids (BCAAs), are shown to have a link to increased anger, anxiety and/or aggression, primarily due to their ability to disrupt the brain's serotonin balance by competing with tryptophan, the precursor to serotonin, which plays a key role in mood regulation. Serotonin is then a precursor to melatonin produced by the pineal gland. As such high animal protein disrupts pineal gland function. The pineal gland is also known as the “eye of God” or the "third eye" in spiritual circles. Essentially, high BCAAs can indirectly contribute to mood swings and irritability. And these days, with higher animal protein consumption, we are indeed seeing more violence in society in general. People are becoming more angry, anxious and mentally unstable. Coincidence?
C. Punishment at the planetary level: CO2 is NOT largest source of greenhouse gas. Methane is 80 times more potent of a greenhouse gas. Also the vast majority of crops are for animal feed, and nitrous oxide (N2O), which is produced by soil microbes breaking down excess nitrogen from fertilizers, is also a significantly more potent greenhouse gass than carbon dioxide. So why don’t the media and elites talk about that?? If sea levels do rise, causing mass immigration, destruction of societies, and millions of deaths, it will be mostly because of carnism, not lack of electric cars. CO2 actually greens the planet, in fact if we drove lots of cars and eliminated factory farms, the deserts would become forests in a couple generations.
Again, if God really
intended us to eat animals, would all of these results be happening? Wouldn’t
we be getting rewarded for eating more meat, rather than dying earlier and
having worldwide problems associated with it?
Final Thoughts
God gave animals feet to run away. God gave them voices to scream in fear and
beg for mercy. God also gave us free
will to make decisions toward kindness, and gave us brains to think and
understand what we are doing. And finally, God gave us hearts and a conscience…
to be humans, and not alligators. Committing unnecessary acts of violence
against animals, definitely goes against the universal compassion that Jesus
speaks of, and deep-down everyone knows it, especially Christians. So, many of
them get very angry and defensive when called out on it, like a kid who throws
a fit when he’s caught doing something he KNOWS he shouldn’t. There is a
revival happening on this planet, people are turning back to God and expanding
above the institutionalized evil that has tricked them for so long. The next level
of this will be the realization and elimination of acts of evil, exploitation
and violence against animals.
You can see evil fighting back (especially on the internet, with carnism being pushed like mad, by those who profit from it). We must follow the merciful path: Showing mercy that we may “be shown mercy” (Matthew 5:7).
At the end of the day, the question of whether or not to UNNECESSARILY CAUSE
SUFFERING, should not even need be arguable! It’s quite obvious what Jesus
would say on this issue. And in fact whether or not we selfishly harm animals
for mere convenience or pleasure may even be a test by God. Why risk it?

Chapter 87 of The Gospel of the Holy Twelve* (as spoken by Jesus):
"For they, making a god of their belly, sacrificed unto their god the innocent creatures of the earth, in place of the carnal nature within themselves. And eating of their flesh and drinking of their blood to their own destruction, corrupted their bodies and shortened their days, even as the Gentiles who knew not the truth, or who knowing it, have changed it into a lie."

Genesis 1:29
"Then God said, 'I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the
whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours
for food.'"
Ezekiel 4:9
”Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and
millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof,
according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three
hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.”
Leviticus 7:26-27
“And ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of bird or of beast, in any of your dwellings. Whosoever it be that eateth any blood, that soul shall be cut off from his people.”
Daniel 1: 8-15
“But Daniel resolved not to defile
himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for
permission not to defile himself this way. Now God had caused the official to
show favor and compassion to Daniel, but the official told Daniel, “I am afraid
of my lord the king, who has assigned your[a] food and drink. Why should he see
you looking worse than the other young men your age? The king would then have
my head because of you.”
Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, “Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see.” So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.
At the end of the ten days they looked healthier and better nourished than any of the young men who ate the royal food.”
Psalms 36:6
"Your righteousness is like
the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve
both people and animals."
Preserving
all creation: It emphasizes that God cares for and protects
both humans and animals.

Proverbs 12:10
"A righteous man regards the
life of his beast, but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.".
This
verse essentially means that a good person will care for their animals, while
even the seemingly kind acts of a wicked person can be cruel.
Genesis 9:16
"Whenever
the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting
covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the
earth.".
Universal
Covenant: The promise extends to "every living creature of
all flesh that is on the earth
Matthew 5:7
“Blessed are the meek,for they
will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and
thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they
will be shown mercy”
Psalm 24:1
"The earth is the Lord's, and
everything in it, the world, and all who live in it,"
Signifying that God owns the entire earth and all creatures therein.
Revelation 5:13
Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth
and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying:
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!”
Isaiah 11:6–9
“The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.
The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.
Ecclesiastes
3:18–21
“I also said to myself, “As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals. Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless. All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return. Who knows if the human spirit rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?”
Revelation 19:11
And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war
Psalm 36:6
"Your righteousness is like
the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep; You, Lord, preserve
both people and animals."
Highlights God's desire to protect and care for all creation, both humans and
animals.
Genesis 9:12–17
“And God said, “This is the sign of
the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you,
a covenant for all generations to come: I have set my rainbow in the clouds,
and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I
bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will
remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind.
Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. Whenever the
rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting
covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”
So God said to Noah, “This is the
sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.”

cattle on a thousand hills.
I know every bird in the mountains, and the
insects in the fields are mine.”

or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you.
Which of all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this?
In his hand is the life of every creature and the breath of all mankind."
Psalm 69:34
“Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and everything that moves in them."
This is a call for all creation, including the heavens, earth, seas, and ALL living things, to praise God.
Matthew 25:40
"And the King will answer
them, 'Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my
brothers, you did it to me,'"
This verse is part of the parable of the sheep and the goats where Jesus
describes the final judgement, where those who helped the vulnerable will be
welcomed into the kingdom of heaven.
